Photo of seven Panhandle ISD high school students receiving certification as Feedyard technicians from Texas Cattle Feeders Association.

Congratulations to Amy Haddox, Jayden Forbes, Shawn Lancaster, Wesley Kuehler, Michael Theis, Chloe Chaves, and Makennah Austin.  These seven Panhandle FFA members are now certified Feedyard technicians through the Texas Cattle Feeders Association. These students gained many experiences which included learning to operate machinery, manage safety procedures, interview for a job, basic welding and cutting practices on a feed yard.  PHS strives to provide many Career and Technology Education (CTE) opportunities for our students.  Students can earn certifications in technology, drone pilot, patient-care technician, welding, nutrition and wellness as well as, feedyard technician.  All of these certifications are tied to our community trends and needs, which makes the school and the community relationship at Panhandle second to none.  Thank you for all of your support both in person and financially to all of our programs.  PISD continually strives to be "Champions for Kids!"
