I began teaching school in 1990 and stopped teaching for a few years to stay home with my children when my husband was in the Air Force. I have been working at Panhandle Elementary for twelve years and I am currently teaching 3^rd grade writing and science.

My husband, Scott James, and I have three children. All of my children graduated from Panhandle High School. They also have all chosen to attend Texas Tech University. My son, Brandon, graduated from Tech in 2014. He is married to Lily Cowan James who also graduated from Panhandle High School and Texas Tech. My oldest daughter, Emily, is a senior and my youngest, Callie, is a freshman at Tech. I also have I have two sweet dogs named Sally and Nelson. Sally is a chocolate lab and Nelson is a golden retriever with a broken tail.

I love teaching at Panhandle Elementary! I think we have the best students in Texas! When I’m not teaching I love spending time with my family and friends, reading books, traveling, and playing with my dogs.
