Math
I graduated from Panhandle High School in 1991 and then attended West Texas A&M University for two years. I transferred to Tarleton State University and graduated with a BS degree in education in 1995.
In 2013, I came to teach at Panhandle Jr. High. My first year here I taught 7th grade math. My second year, I changed to 6th grade math which is my current position.
My first teaching job was in Mineral Wells, TX where I taught 6th grade math and science. I taught there for two years and then worked as an instructional aide for a year in Stephenville. I then taught 3rd grade remedial reading at Chamberlain Elementary in Stephenville for one year and 1st through 3rd grade special education. My husband took a job at Pantex and we moved back to Panhandle. I had two daughters at that time and decided to stay home with them. I stayed home with my children for six years. I went back to teaching in 2007 at White Deer Elementary and taught 2nd grade for a year and first grade for 5 years.
My husband, Jeramy, and I both graduated from Panhandle High School and later married in 1994. After we married we lived in Stephenville, Texas for 7 years and moved back to Panhandle in 2001. We have three children Emily, Whitney and Wesley. They have all graduated from Panhandle High School. My daughter Emily is married to Justin and they have one son Barrett.
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family. I enjoy watching my kids in their various activities. I also enjoy watching any Panther or Pantherette sporting events. I love spending time with my grandson! My family is very active at our church, The River, here in Panhandle.
